Lobophytum pauciflorum, commonly known as the Devil's Hand Leather Coral, is a hardy and beginner-friendly soft coral perfect for reef aquariums. Its fleshy, lobed structure and velvety polyps create a dynamic appearance that sways beautifully in the current. This coral thrives under moderate lighting and gentle to moderate water flow, making it adaptable to a range of tank conditions. Unlike stony corals, it does not require calcium supplementation, but occasional iodine and trace element additions can promote growth. Its peaceful nature makes it an excellent choice for mixed reefs, and it can coexist well with other soft corals. Over time, it may shed its outer layer as part of a natural renewal process, ensuring a healthy and vibrant display.
