Alveopora allingi, commonly known as the Daisy Coral, is a beautiful LPS (Large Polyp Stony) coral admired for its delicate, flower-like polyps that create a mesmerizing, swaying motion in the aquarium. Often mistaken for its close relative, Goniopora, Alveopora is generally easier to care for and more forgiving in reef environments. It thrives in stable conditions with moderate lighting and gentle, indirect flow to allow full polyp extension. This peaceful coral does well in mixed reef setups and does not have strong stinging tentacles, making it a great choice for community tanks. Regular feedings of planktonic foods or coral supplements will help sustain its energy needs and promote growth.
