Lobophyllia pachysepta, commonly known as the Lobed Brain Coral, is a stunning LPS coral that displays fleshy, vibrant polyps in a variety of colors. It is a hardy and adaptable species that thrives under moderate lighting and flow conditions. This coral benefits from occasional feedings of meaty foods like mysis shrimp or reef pellets to enhance its growth and coloration. While relatively easy to care for, it does possess sweeper tentacles that can extend at night, so it should be given adequate space to prevent stinging nearby corals. Its unique lobed structure and bold coloration make it a beautiful centerpiece for any reef aquarium.
