The Orange Shoulder Tang is a striking surgeonfish that changes dramatically in appearance from juvenile to adult, transitioning from bright yellow to a bluish-grey body with an eye-catching orange shoulder patch. Known for its active swimming and algae-grazing habits, it requires plenty of open swimming space and rockwork for grazing. While generally peaceful, it can be territorial with similar-shaped tangs.
